ABC WOW
Lowercase letters just got more exciting with ABC Wow
ABC Wow is a children’s education and learning alphabet app created to teach kids their lowercase letters. The project was created in collaboration with Jonah Elgart of Bologna Games where I worked on the ABC Wow concept, UI/UX Design/ animation, website, and marketing strategy. Most importantly I was also the artist responsible for creating all the game art. In addition I am the voice for the letter “Q” which is the sound of the Queen laughing and consequently helped create many of the other sounds.
The apps initial intention was to create an kids learning tool where the alphabet art is shaped like the letters to create further connection between the shapes and images. The concept was surprisingly not often used in similar children’s educational products or software. The alphabet app was released in 2013 to some rave reviews.
ABC Wow also gained popularity in Australia and there is now a version of the children’s app using a voice actor with an Australian accent. Additionally there are a few spin-off apps that help children to recognize their letters with letter matching. Find out more about ABC Wow by visting the apple store.
