East Somerville Mural

Hello Neighbor!

 The East Somerville Mural was a special project I completed in the Fall of 2020. It is roughly 60′ long and 3-4′ high. Led by then director, Jen Atwood East Somerville Main Streets sponsored the mural by crowdfunding from the community. I was honored that so many local people and businesses wanted to see this street corner brightened up!  My design, an extension of the Lombardi Mural, includes references to many of the businesses of East Somerville that make it so unique like Deano’s Pasta, Taco Loco, and the now closed Louie’s Ice Cream. My small lending library is a nod to both the East Somerville Branch and to All She Wrote Books, an awesome bookstore in Assembly Row that contribute to this project. I also wanted to include fun signage that helped point those walking from Sullivan Station into East Somerville in the right direction.
