This is East Somerville
I was stoked to be approached by East Somerville Main Streets to work on their This is East branding project. After receiving a Our Town grant from the MCC (Massachusetts Cultural Council) they set to work reinvigorating East Somerville with murals, street banners, an interactive video walking tour, and arts-driven events.
The voice of a neighborhood
I was tasked with creating a visual voice of the neighborhood through street banners and worked with their team to develop the idea of featuring individuals in the community. Since diversity is key in East Somerville my design celebrates diversity by sharing many unusual colors in our eyes, skin, and hair. It also expresses how vibrant and exciting it is to live in East Somerville!
